Spitalfields Music creates live music experiences through 2 annual festivals, and a learning and participation programme. In 2008 the organisation re-branded from Spitalfields Festival to Spitalfields Music to reflect the continuous, year round nature of its activity, and Mind Unit was chosen to evolve the new online identity.

 

Objectives

  • To create a fully integrated online solution that better reflected the new name and identity
  • To increase audience numbers, online ticket sales and email  subscriber list
  • To give Spitalfields Music a tool to increase accessibility and   participation in their educational and community activities

 

Our Solution

  • Visually to create a website that could only be for Spitalfields Music, by using the logo as a central theme for the look and feel of the site.
  • Increase online booking by empowering Spitalfields Music to give  visitors much more exciting information about each event, such as images, biographies and snippets of music.
  • Encourage visitors to the site to share information – via RSS feed, share it links and 'Forward to a Friend' features.
  • To create a flexible site that isn't 'empty' during the times of the year  when no festivals are taking place. The site can promote their education and community programme just as effectively as their two festivals.
